ESKELES DAS CAFÉ IM JÜDISCHEN MUSEUM

The „Café Eskeles“ has a wide range of vegetarian dishes and kosher cakes and sweets. The café Eskeles that is not only open museum visitors, daily drink specials are fresh and kosher wine from Austria and Israel to choose from.

Are offered throughout the day sweet and savory dishes, in addition there is a daily changing lunch menu with various Israeli and Mediterranean specialties. Fresh drinks, homemade sweet treats and cakes are also part of the range.

Israeli beer, kosher wines of winery Hafner or from Israel are also available.

It has its name Café Eskeles by Bernhard Freiherr von Eskeles (1753-1839) , who was born in Vienna as the son of a rabbi . In 1773 he co-founded the band house Arnstein and Eskeles in whose possession the Eskeles Palace was located in the Dorotheergasse 1, 1823 to 1827 and went as one of the founders of the Austrian National Bank in history.
